| 对龙舟竞渡仪式的属性进行了分析，认为龙舟竞渡中包含着对龙图腾的崇拜，竞渡的缘起也与这一崇拜密切相关；依据宗教观念、宗教体验、宗教行为和宗教体制的宗教本质四要素理论，认为龙舟竞渡仪式为宗教性的民俗活动。龙舟竞渡仪式作为一个象征体系，包含着物化象征符号、行为象征符号、感觉象征符号、自然象征符号和社会象征符号等诸多因素，龙舟竞渡仪式具有丰富的象征意义，语言符号和非语言符号是其传递象征意义的方式。龙舟竞渡仪式作为一项宗教性的民俗活动，在现代社会中具有强大的社会功能：它能够促进中华龙舟竞渡文化传承与发展，促进社会成员对民族传统文化的认同，为民族文化大发展增强社会凝聚力，并促进社会群体心理调适 |

| The Symbolic System and Social Functions of Dragon Boat Racing Ritual |

| The attributes of dragon boat racing ritual are analyzed in this paper, and it is proposed that dragon boat racing ritual includes the worship of dragon totem, and also the origin of dragon boat race is closely linked with the worship of dragon totem. Based on the theory of four elements of the essence of religion, namely, religious concept; religious experience; religious behavior and religious system, dragon boat racing ritual is a religious folk activity. As a symbolic system, dragon boat racing ritual contains many factors such as materialized symbols, behavioral symbols, sensory symbols, natural symbols and social symbols. Dragon boat racing ritual has a rich symbolic meaning, and verbal symbols and nonverbal symbols serves as a means of delivering symbolic meaning. As a religious folk activity, dragon boat racing ritual has strong social functions in our modern society: promote the cultural inheritance and development of the Chinese dragon boat race; promote ethnic and cultural identity among social members to intensify cohesiveness for a big growth of Chinese culture; promote psychological adjustment among social groups |
